The recipe cost calculation excel spreadsheet obtains the expense that each dish carries and the margin it would obtain with the final price to be charged.
You have to define what the recipe is – listing the ingredients and their quantities – on which we will work, and size and quantity of portions. These two data will help us determine the cost of the items (or dishes) of a menu.
The total cost of it is obtained by determining the cost of each ingredient used in the recipe and then the cost of the portion is simply dividing the total cost of the recipe by the amount of portions. From there, thinking about a margin, you can get the price at which you can put the plate.
